Habitat: Sandstone bluffs and gorges, hemlock/hardwood coves, floodplains, upland mixed hardwood forests, pine forests, associated with oak, maple, tulip poplar, hemlock, pine; Rock Type = Sandstone, sandstone conglomerate; Top of ridge on moist soil over sandstone, mesic hardwoods along bluff margin
