The stories in this collection are meant to teach children morals in simple enough language for them to understand. The collection contains 28 different stories with titles such as Carelessness, Anger, Candor, and the Fruits of Infidelity. Other stories have titles such as Snakes, More about Birds, and The Holiday. The text contains a few illustrations, but they are dark and details are difficult to make out.
