Description/Abstract:: This poster was presented at the 2016 Research Data Access and Preservation (RDAP) meeting. It examines the challenges and opportunities of a self submission institutional repository (IR), especially as they relate to dataset submission, and for both researchers and librarians. It also explores how researchers can maximize the impact of their works through an IR submission by including rich metadata and the links to other discovery systems. In particular the poster examines how Dr. Eric J. Tepe's submission to the IR is visualized within the IR and how it connects to the external systems of ORCID and iDigBio.
