Locality: Shawnee State Forest near Portsmouth, on U.S. 125. Jets, forest roads 6 & 27. Snake Hollow area ca 4 mi N of Bear Creek Reservoir and Horseman's Camp Ground.
Habitat: Dry, calcareous upland slopes.. Rock Type = Calcareous; on soil.
