Habitat: Sandstone gorges and ravines with hemlock/hardwood coves, upland hardwook stands, floodplains, pine stands; associated with oak maple, hemlock, tulip poplar, pine; Rock Type = sandstone, sandstone conglomerate.; on vertical, shaded, moist sandstone wall.

Locality: Sheick Hollow State Nature Preserve, paralleling Hockman Rd. (Twp. Rd. 238) between Gibisonville & Conkle's Hollow State Nature Preserve, off OH 374. Laurel Twp. , S. Bloomingville Quad.
