Habitat: Sandstone bluffs and gorges, hemlock/hardwood coves, floodplains, upland mixed hardwood forests, pine forests, associated with oak, maple, tulip poplar, hemlock, pine; Rock Type = sandstone, sandstone conglomerate. Species habitat: on moist sandstone ledge; on moist sandstone ledge.

Locality: Crane Hollow Nature Preserve (Crane Hollow, Inc.), S of Gibisonville & N of Conkle's Hollow State Nature Preserve, E of OH 374 Si W of Cream Ridge Rd.
